CrickIT
CrickIT is an electric personal vehicle designed for travel in cities and historical centres. CrickIT has two modes. In vehicle mode, the rider leans on the frame, holds the handlebars and steers by leaning, reaching a top speed of 15 kilometres per hour. In transport mode, the vehicle is guided from the outside and carries loads of up to 250 kilograms at a lower speed. The shell is made of polycarbonate and carbon, with plastic and aluminium parts, to keep the weight low. A gel battery and a tracking system are included. CrickIT folds down for storage in a car boot.
CrickIT Personal transport aid by Andrea Cingoli was selected as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. CrickIT Personal transport aid earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design in 2018. The A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors outstanding design of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, trains, ships, aircrafts and more.
